What the quote means that if you do right you will be taken care of, that more people will care about you because you know what you doing instead of doing wrong. A example of this is when you do something right you are living your life the right way and you will have more people that will take care of you because they know that you are doing good things that they might want to become like you. If you live your life the wrong way then there could be consequences that you might have no one to go up to and ask for help because they wont trust you of all the bad things you have done. If you do good and live good then you have advantages that people may like about you and they will trust you because they know that you are a good person.
