 What the quote means is that you don’t gain anything when you do what’s wrong. An example is when you are taking a test and you cheat and you get 100% on the test and later you take another one and you have no one to copy then you didn’t learn anything and you chose the wrong and you have no idea what to do because you made a mistake. What is also means that doing what’s wrong may lead to negative consequences like cheating on a test because you didn’t study was a bad choice but if you did study and you know you going to do good on the test then you were choosing the right and you did what you supposed to do while if you don’t you won’t know anything.
